The National Association of Unified Territorial Communities of Ukraine, together with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine and with the support of the Union of Italian Chambers of Commerce, arranged the International Forum for the Rebuilding and Restart of the country, together with the European community and other foreign states.
The event was held virtually from October 24 to 26. The representatives from Ukrainian and Italian companies, national institutions, Italian and international investment funds were among the participants. The main theme of the Forum was the discussion of Ukraine's reconstruction.
The forum’s agenda comprised of 7 sectoral panel discussions:
- Construction and Infrastructure
- Energy and Environment
- Agro-industry and Food
- Digital and Services
- Healthcare and Social Aid
- Volunteering and Social Aid
- Investments and Financing
For Ukrainian and Italian companies, the event served as an excellent opportunity to introduce themselves, exchange contacts, provide and receive information about potential collaboration options in the future. Italian partners expressed their readiness to share technology, experience, and expertise on Ukraine's recovery. Similarly, the Ukrainian side highlighted areas, innovations, and achievements they are willing to share with their foreign counterparts.
A pivotal theme resonated throughout the forum was the “green” rebuilding of Ukraine, considering the nuances of using ecological materials in construction and renewable energy sources. Moreover, the imperative of preserving Ukraine's historical heritage during the reconstruction phase was underscored.
Forum participants underscored that Ukrainian-Italian cooperation would yield positive results in the economic domain for both Ukraine and Italy.
