The cost of the works amounted to about 14 million hryvnias.
The state rehabilitation institution “All-Ukrainian Complex Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities” in Lutizh was damaged at the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022 and has now resumed its work thanks to the Ukrainian and Luxembourg Red Crosses.
Restoration of damaged rehabilitation centers and medical facilities is one of the top priorities of the Ukrainian Red Cross. Due to the war, the number of people in need of quality and professional rehabilitation is growing every day. Realizing the need for such services, we are making every effort and are ready to support the state so that such facilities can help as many people in Ukraine as possible," said Maksym Dotsenko, Director General of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
And from now 136 people with disabilities can receive high-quality rehabilitation within the walls of the center at the same time. Currently, the first visitors are already receiving help from specialists. This is 24 adults and 7 children. The Center employs therapists, orthopedists, neuropathologists, psychotherapists, psychologists, physiotherapists and pediatricians.
The repair work lasted approximately 10 months, and during this time, the main building was overhauled, where the roof was damaged and one of the walls was destroyed. Windows and double-glazed windows were also replaced in several buildings and current repairs were carried out, including the interior of the center.

Here you can get locomotor therapy, verticalization, mechanotherapy, therapeutic massages, various types of physiotherapy, physical therapy, ergotherapy, pelotherapy and water rehabilitation. In addition, at the rehabilitation center, you can learn a new profession and learn, in particular, beekeeping, shoe repair, computer and accounting, sewing, embroidery, hairdressing and manicure skills. To get rehabilitation in Liutezh, you need to contact the local social protection authority and submit a package of documents.
