Webinar

27 July 2023

11AM - 1PM (Kyiv time)

With only two companies granted the AEO status in Ukraine in the last two years, we are proud that PwC Ukraine is the ground breaker on this path, having supported the application for the first ever authorisation.

The Customs Code provisions permitting customs clearance without physical presentation to customs authorities will no longer be in effect, and the companies not holding the authorisation for simplification will have to use customs terminals for their customs clearance. At the same time, the authorisation process remains a significant challenge to businesses.

Taking this and the latest customs law developments into account, our experts have decided to share their practical experience and to address any concerns that market players may have, such as:

1. Authorisations for transit simplifications. Practical tips from the State Customs Service of Ukraine on preparing to apply for the authorisations

2. Draft law 9014-1: what are the new Customs Code amendments about?

  • Internal transit of cargo in Ukraine as set out in the Convention on a Common Transit Procedure
  • New types of transit simplifications: ‘authorised TIR consignee’ and ‘authorised TIR consignor’ - how will they work?
  • Practical application of simplifications such as ‘release of goods on site‘ and ‘simplified declaration procedure’

3. The ‘release of goods on site‘ simplifications:  new opportunities for businesses following the cancellation of EA declarations

  • Customs clearance of imported goods without physical presentation to the customs office
  • Export of goods directly from the authorised site

4. What should you keep in mind when preparing to apply for authorisation?

5. Common challenges in preparation to apply for authorisation

6. Q&A session

Our team is supporting 14 companies in preparing to apply for the AEO status and the special simplifications. Our mission is to promote the AEO concept in Ukraine and build a common space of expertise for the responsible and diligent businesses wishing to find out more in preparation to apply for the authorisations and/or the AEO status.
