“When One Woman Blossoms, We All Blossom”: What the UP100: Power of Women by LOVARE Awards Ceremony Will Be Like
On 24 March in Kyiv, we will come together to honour the winners of the UP100: Power of Women by LOVARE project. The event will begin at 16:00 at the National Operetta of Ukraine (53/3 Velyka Vasylkivska Street, Kyiv).
The theme of the UP100: Power of Women 2026 ceremony is: “When One Woman Blossoms, We All Blossom”
“Blossoming is the courage to remain yourself and to multiply strength around you. And when one woman blossoms, she expands the space of what is possible for others,” says Sevğil Musaieva, Editor-in-Chief of Ukrainska Pravda.
This motto is rooted in the concept of blossoming as reflected upon by Vasyl Stus — the Ukrainian poet and dissident who was killed in a prison camp in Perm. For him, blossoming meant dignity that takes root even in darkness, an inner freedom that cannot be taken away, a light that does not go out even under the greatest pressure.
But blossoming is also about responsibility. It is about women who create, lead, defend and shape new meanings, even while the country lives through war. It is about those who do not wait for better times, but create them.
Awards will be presented in the following categories: Defenders, Society, Business, Politics and Public Administration, Culture, Creative Industries, Sport, Education and Science. Special honours will also be presented by the VETERANKA Movement and the Masha Foundation.
What awaits guests this year:
- Guests of the evening will hear from Sevğil Musaieva, Editor-in-Chief of Ukrainska Pravda; Tetiana Yalovchak, mountaineer who climbed Mount Everest; Nataliia Panchenko, Polish-Ukrainian activist and leader of the Ukrainian diaspora in Poland; and Masha Efrosinina, presenter and public figure.
- The programme will include a discussion on service, experience, resilience and leadership during wartime titled: “To Blossom Even in War: Women in the Military on Service, Endurance and Inner Freedom.”
- There will also be a public UP Chat on the role of business in supporting women leaders, social responsibility and the rebuilding of the country.
- The event will feature performances by Olena Topolia and LAUD, as well as soloists of the National Operetta of Ukraine. Guests will also enjoy a dance performance by Zlata Veres, world champion in ballroom dancing in the under-eight category.
