The UK-Ukraine Political, Free Trade and Strategic Partnership Agreement signed by both governments in London in October opens up significant opportunities for business from both countries, not least in the agricultural sector.

We look forward to hearing from an authoritative line-up of panellists featuring:

  • E. Vadym Prystaiko, Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK
  • Taras Kachka, Trade Representative of Ukraine / Deputy Minister for the Development of the Economy, Trade & Agriculture
  • Vladyslava Magaletska, Head, State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety & Consumer Protection
  • Carl Atkin, Director & Founder, Terravost
  • Alex Lissitsa, Chief Executive Officer, IMC
  • Dmytro Los, Advisor to the CEO, MHP
  • Kateryna Rybachenko, Chief Executive Officer, Agro Region
  • Dr Keith Dawson, Technical Director, Central Plains Group

They will address such key issues as:

  • Identifying the opportunities for Ukrainian agrarian exporters being created by the UK-Ukraine Political, Free Trade and Strategic Partnership Agreement
  • How Ukraine can contribute to the UK’s food security
  • An overview of the agrarian trade and investment dynamic between Ukraine and the UK
  • Opportunities for Ukrainian exporters of agri-food products to supply major UK retail chains
  • How UK Export Finance’s £2.5 billion cover for Ukraine can have the maximum benefit for both parties
  • The growth of activity by international strategic investors and private equity houses in acquiring stakes in Ukrainian agri and agri-related businesses
  • Implementing the highest standards of food safety and quality
  • Moving Ukrainian exports of food products further up the value chain to greater value-added processed products
  • Case studies of successful cooperation between Ukraine and the UK in the agribusiness sector

The working language of the webinar will be English with simultaneous translation into Ukrainian and it is scheduled to last between 60 and 90 minutes.
