The event was organized jointly by the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, Association "Ukrainian Agrarian Business Club", Association "Ukrainian Seed Society", Seed Association of Ukraine and with support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine.
Seeds Forum 2020 – annual event devoted to current trends on seeds market and latest industry developments.
Participants of the Forum had an opportunity to discuss the following issues:
- Current status and further development of seeds industry
- Plans of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture in seeds sphere for 2020 and cooperation at the international level
- Overview of seeds certification bodies' activities in 2019 and plans for the current year: procedures, terms, prices, registers
- Start of inspections on seeds market: main aspects of state supervision and control
- Challenges and achievements in seeds industry: business community's view
Representatives of seeds companies, breeding and distribution companies, agricultural producers, Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture, State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Ukrainian Institute of Plant Varieties Expertise and State Enterprise "State Center for Certification and Examination of Agricultural Products" were invited to participate.
