Pechersk International School (PSI Kyiv) is hosting open house events. During the events, parents will be able to learn more about the school, meet the leaders of the educational process, and find out more about learning opportunities for their children.
The open days will be held in two formats:
- online on the Zoom platform, 15 February at 18:00 (Kyiv time)
- offline at the school, 27 April at 10:00
Among the speakers at the event will be Trae Holland, School Director, and David Tigchelaar, Whole School Principal. During both sessions, guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and get the necessary information about the admission and enrolment process.

International Baccalaureate – international education programme in Ukraine.
The main concept of the International Baccalaureate programme is the comprehensive development of the children.
The curriculum of the PSI Kyiv Kindergarten and Primary School is based on the study of the IB PYP (Primary Years Programme) core subjects. Students explore the world around them through "play" and gain new knowledge in constant interaction with classroom teachers "homeroom teachers" and their assistants "teaching partners". At the end of the primary school programme, children present their research at the PYPX event (Project and Research Symposium), the topics of which were chosen by the students based on their hobbies or global issues facing humanity (environment, etc.).
Starting in grade 6, children are given more independence and interact with different teachers, and each class has an "advisor" teacher as a mentor.
In secondary school, students follow the IB MYP (Middle Years Programme). They study a range of general subjects and delve into the consolidation of fundamental knowledge: theory and its practical implementation. The learning process is based on the principle of "inquiry" and allows students to participate in discussions, hypothesis testing and learning experiments - full-fledged project work.
In the IB Diploma Programme (DP), students choose several subjects with an advanced level of study; they are thoroughly prepared for admission to higher education. IB DP students have a flexible choice of subjects based on their career aspirations. The programme includes essay writing to develop critical thinking. Theory of Knowledge (TOK) promotes the integration of knowledge, and CAS (creativity, activity, service) develops creativity, physical activity and civic engagement.
Moving into the future
Graduates of Pechersk International School have the opportunity to enter the most prestigious universities in the world. Among them are Harvard University, Cambridge University, ETH Zurich, University of Melbourne, and New York University in Abu Dhabi.
