Experts of the corporate transaction advisory service of KPMG in Ukraine have conducted a comprehensive analysis of the M&A market and prepared an overview of the Ukrainian M&A market for 2023: M&A Radar 2023: Ukraine.
The full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 caused significant economic losses for Ukraine. The M&A market was no exception: the transaction total value in 2022 fell nearly 4 times year-on-year, reaching its lowest level since 2013, while the number of deals decreased more than 2.5 times. However, there were some upbeat trends in 2023. The real GDP grew by approximately 5%, and the number and value of M&A deals increased significantly year-on-year.
