Open Offline Lecture "Behavioral Patterns During the Wartime"

American University Kyiv is delighted to invite you to the upcoming open offline lecture “Behavioral patterns during the wartime” with Volodymyr Vakhitov, Director of the Behavioral Science Institute and Associate Professor at American University Kyiv.

Agenda:

• How do we cope with uncertainty during wartime? How do we make decisions when the planning horizon shrinks to literally days, and mistakes become incredibly costly?
• Does acceptance of heavy losses always go through all five stages of Kübler-Ross (denial - rage - bargaining - depression - acceptance)? How do we perceive changes in the financial, property, and family status brought about by the war?
• Why do we mindlessly scroll through our social media, and how do we cope with the news avalanche? What kind of news channels do we read and why? How do enemy propaganda influence our choices and why we perceive the facts so differently?
