EU project "Pravo-Justice" will be holding an online round table "Enforcement of Foreign Court Decisions and Cross-border Insolvency: Current Judicial Practice and Further Development".
On March 31, the EU project "Pravo-Justice" will hold an online roundtable discussion titled "Enforcement of Foreign Court Decisions and Cross-border insolvency: Current Judicial Practice and Further Development."
The event will run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Among the participants and invitees are: representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Members of Parliament, judges of the Cassation Commercial Court, and Kyiv Court of Appeals, Appeal Court of Odesa Region, Сhairman of the Association of Private Enforcement Officers, Chairman of Ukrainian National Association of Insolvency Trustees, researchers from the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, legal counsels from Baker McKenzie.
The discussion will focus on:
- Current judicial practices and common practical issues that arise during the recognition of foreign court decisions and arbitrations in Ukraine
- Prospects for the application of the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Civil or Commercial Matters in Ukraine
- The first successful and unsuccessful cases of recognition of foreign bankruptcy procedures in Ukraine.
- The results of the discussion will be used to summarize judicial practice and improve legislation.
