Russia’s brutal invasion heavily affected thousands of businesses and deprived over 53% of Ukrainians of the opportunity to work. Executives are no exception. To address this challenge, Amrop launched the Amrop Creates the Opportunity initiative that aims at supporting executives in exile, or those whose business is frozen, as well as client organizations. Through its global network of 60+ offices in 50+ countries, Amrop engages global clientele to consider Ukrainian candidates for international executive search and board advisory projects. Amrop interacts with European experts that may add value to routine operations and corporate governance practices in Ukraine.

Speakers:
Viesturs Liegis, Managing Partner at Amrop Ukraine and Partner at Amrop Latvia and Estonia (the Amrop Partnership). He joined Amrop in 2005. Viesturs has vast experience working in IT and Telecommunications industry since 1993. In Amrop, Viesturs mostly works with finance and banking, IT & Telecom, manufacturing, transportation, and infrastructure sectors. Viesturs’ portfolio includes circa executive search and board advisory projects for Amrop clients in Ukraine, Latvia, and Estonia, such as Rail Baltic, Lubinor, Accenture, AirBaltic, PrivatBank, Ukrposhta, etc. Viesturs graduated from Riga Technical University with a Radio engineer diploma. In 2002, he obtained MBA degree from Riga Business School.
Angela Poddubna, Associate Partner at Amrop Ukraine & Baltics. Angela specializes in Executive Search, product and business development, marketing, and HR. Previously, she led the HR function at several of Ukraine’s top companies, including RedHead Family Corporation, Deloitte Ukraine, ADV Group, and Bayadera Group. Mrs. Poddubna has headed marketing for leading multinationals in the region, such as McDonald’s Ukraine, Mars, real, Metro Group. As Managing Director of multinational advertising agency Publicis Visage Ukraine, she helped clients from various industries quickly and efficiently reach crucial decisions.
