Cybersecurity professional and reintegration program for ATO/JFO veterans

About Program

Cyberdefenders program provides Ukrainian veterans with professional cybersecurity training to help them secure employment in the government and private sectors.

U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF Global) with the strategic and financial support from the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Coordinator of U.S. Assistance to Europe and Eurasia in partnership with the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy

Participants

All ATO/JFO veterans are willing to become familiar with a new profession and study cybersecurity technologies. With no limits due to disability and level of education, both men and women are eligible to participate in the program.

Implementation

4 months, 2 groups, 60 participants, free of charge

The program consists of three training components.

  • Cybersecurity professional development program
  • Reintegration and social adaptation opportunities
  • Providing further employment support both in government and private sectors

Program uniqueness

  • social adaptation to cybersecurity carrier
  • career counselling and soft skills development
  • tech and IT English language
  • employment support
  • state and CISCO Academy certification

Graduates

Veterans will acquire the following technical skills and knowledge:

  • networks basics
  • software development basics
  • cybersecurity basics
  • cryptography basics
  • computer networks protection basics
  • penetration testing basics
  • computer forensics basics
  • malware analysis principles

Veterans can start their careers as junior professionals

  • cybersecurity analyst
  • penetration tester
  • forensics examiner
  • reverse engineer
  • network security administrator

For Organizations and Companies

Government organizations and business companies can:

  • join an important social endeavour
  • get qualified and skilled personnel
  • provide support in returning to civilian life
  • join a network of partners and soulmates
