During the second session, we discussed five elements of emotional intelligence: self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, empathy, and relationship management. Special attention was given to developing emotional intelligence skills to improve work-related performance in decision-making, motivation, productivity, and relationships.

Speaker:
Yuriy Bots, Dean of the School of Business Administration and Visiting Professor at American University Kyiv. Yuriy Bots received Ph.D. in Economics from Purdue University and has had prior industry experience working as an economist. He is also an Associate Professor of Economics in the Business and Leadership Department at William Jewell College. Dr. Bots received multiple awards for his contributions to teaching and learning. In recognition of his contributions to William Jewell College he has been twice appointed as the endowed chair designated as the John W. Boatwright Professor of Economics. Dr. Bots has also performed consulting work and received multiple certifications in leadership studies.
