Tetra Pak Ukraine was established in 1989 through a joint venture factory for production of packaging material. It was one of the first and most important foreign direct investments into the economy of Ukraine (Tetra Pak share was 23,9 million DM in 1989). In September 1992, the new factory opened its doors and started production. Even though two years of construction work and assembling of equipment preceded this event, it is this very date that we consider to be a birthday of Tetra Pak Ukraine. 1993 the company expanded its business in Ukraine by opening a sales and marketing company as well as a technical service department. In 2002 Tetra Pak commemorated its 50th anniversary since its birth in Sweden 1952 and the 10th anniversary of Tetra Pak Ukraine. Tetra Pak Ukraine actively supports the development of the Ukrainian food industry by offering and introducing both new technologies and new working principles. This positively influences and improves production levels and the quality of Ukrainian made foodstuff.
