The New Gauge Initiative is now being established as a 501(с)(3) and 501(с)(6), based in Washington DC. It is partnering with the Association of Railway Carriers of Ukraine (UAP) in Kyiv, though both organizations are separate.
The New Gauge Initiative has been set up to promote American and international private-sector investment in Ukraine’s rail infrastructure. Together, US, international, and Ukrainian businesses can re-build Ukraine’s railway system - one that is fully integrated with the EU and a model of clean and sustainable technology.
New Gauge’s experts all have more than three-decades experience in Eastern European markets in railway transport, logistics, and investment attraction.
Our partner, the UAP association, was formed in Kyiv in 2021, before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, in order to integrate and modernize the country's railway infrastructure.
