The relevant resolution was adopted by the government at a meeting on January 20.
The purpose of the act is to harmonize the legislation of Ukraine on technical regulation in the field of cosmetic products with Regulation (EU) №1223 / 2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30.11.2009 on cosmetic products.
As stated in the explanatory note to the resolution, the Technical Regulation on cosmetic products sets new requirements for the circulation and safety of cosmetic products and provides for the use of the latest technological developments, alternative methods of testing cosmetic products, market surveillance of product compliance.
At the same time, the resolution stipulates that cosmetic products that have been put into circulation before the entry into force of the new technical regulation are not prohibited or restricted.
The Resolution approving the Technical Regulations for Cosmetic Products shall enter into force 18 months after its publication.
