Sayenko Kharenko has acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on providing a four-year loan of up to EUR 25 million equivalent to OTP Leasing to boost the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across Ukraine against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic and its economic impact.
The funding will enable OTP Leasing to finance long-term leases to MSMEs both in Ukrainian hryvnia and/or in euros. The funding is available under the EU4Business-EBRD Credit Line with incentives. Lessee companies will be eligible to receive grants funded by the European Union (EU) after they have successfully implemented their investment project.
EBRD is the largest international financial investor in Ukraine. EBRD has made a cumulative commitment of almost €14.6 billion across 482 projects since the start of its operations in the country in 1993.
