With the Law of Ukraine of 28 April, 2020 "On prevention and counteraction to legalization (laundering) of the proceeds from crime or terrorism financing, as well as financing proliferation of weapons of mass destruction" coming into force, Ukraine 'tightens the screws'. The level of control will increase rapidly, and the major focus will be on cash transactions and settlements between legal entities. During the seminar, we considered the changes in the order of financial monitoring and how banks are going to block accounts in a new way.
In particular, we considered:
- What is financial monitoring? How does it all work since April 28, 2020
- Grounds for blocking accounts and payments
- Who are the primary subjects of financial monitoring? What information can they disclose?"
- Responsibility for violating the legislation on money laundering
