The Ukrainian Red Cross has launched the project “Support for Veterans and Conflict-Affected Communities: Comprehensive Community-Level Humanitarian Response for Sustainable Recovery and Social Cohesion.”
The initiative provides multilevel support to veterans, their families, and conflict-affected communities, promoting the long-term social and economic reintegration of veterans.
The project focuses on the following areas:
- Professional psychosocial support for veterans and their family members;
- Rehabilitation services and support for veterans’ physical recovery;
- Creating new opportunities for employment, reskilling, and entrepreneurship development;
- Engaging veterans in volunteer firefighting teams and community development activities.
The project is being implemented in partnership with the Danish Red Cross, German Red Cross, and Spanish Red Cross, with financial support from the European Union.
