UAH 2.4 Million to Empower New Business Ideas: Ukrainian Red Cross Announces Micro-Grant Winners

UAH 2.4 Million to Empower New Business Ideas: Ukrainian Red Cross Announces Micro-Grant Winners

Twenty participants of the online Reboot program will receive financial support from the Ukrainian Red Cross, totaling UAH 2.4 million, to launch and implement their business ideas.

The Ukrainian Red Cross received 43 applications from veterans, their family members, and entrepreneurs working to restore or rebuild their businesses after relocation, property loss, or other challenges caused by the war. Applications were submitted from the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Zakarpattia, Volyn, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson regions of Ukraine.

Some of the selected initiatives combine not only an entrepreneurial component but also a social impact dimension. Among the winning business ideas are:

  • the production of educational materials for children with special educational needs;
  • the development of Montessori educational toys
  • the launch of a family bakery rooted in Crimean Tatar traditions.

The Reboot program has been operating since 2024, helping internally displaced people, veterans, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups find employment or start their own businesses. Participants receive comprehensive support, ranging from career counseling, vocational training, and language courses to psychosocial assistance.
