About the event
This in-person partnering event is organized under the “Green industrial recovery project for Ukraine through technology transfer from and the co-creation of new businesses with Japan's private industries”, funded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI), with a total budget of USD 188 million. The initiative facilitates technology transfer, industrial collaboration and skills development between Japanese and Ukrainian industries.
The project aims to benefit more than 30,000 Ukrainians and test, introduce and adopt 47 advanced technologies across priority industrial sectors. The project also offers concrete business and investment opportunities. This event will specifically highlight 11 Japanese companies currently active in the agribusiness, food value chain and water infrastructure sectors, which are finalizing their feasibility studies. Following submission, companies that meet the “Go/Stop” criteria will advance to pilot technology demonstrations and may access grant funding of up to USD 6 million per project—creating a unique opportunity to test, deploy and scale technologies in Ukraine.
The event will be held in English and Japanese with simultaneous interpretation. Participants from Ukraine will join online.
In-person participation is particularly encouraged for potential implementing partners and service providers based in Japan, especially in the Tokyo metropolitan area (e.g., Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa and other surrounding prefectures).
