Online Meeting with Vladyslav Kryklii, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine

During the meeting participants discussed the following questions:

I. Prospects and development of the maritime transport infrastructure:

• Methodology of Calculating Port Dues (Methodology): status and who is currently responsible for developing the Methodology
• Reduction of port dues before the adoption of the Methodology for stimulating freight traffic in ports and supporting the economy during the global recession
• New leadership of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA): what tasks will be assigned to the new USPA head by the Ministry of Infrastructure (Ministry)
• USPA corporatization: Ministry’s position
• Development of a new Draft Law “On the National Commission for State Regulation in the Field of Transport”
• Status of further concession projects and privatization as mechanisms for attracting investments in the port industry

II. Prospects and development of river transport infrastructure:

• Ministry’s position on the Draft Law “On Inland Water Transport”
• The issue of simultaneous locking of two barges
• Gateway repair plans: cost, leveraging financial resources, timeframes, who and by whom they will perform
