Astarta

A few weeks before the full-scale invasion, Astrata updated internal protocols to cater for different scenarios and their impact on the business. Yet, first and foremost, we focused on employees' physical safety, as Astarta is a socially responsible business, and people are our core value.

The first thing we did at noon on February 24 was to establish daily online communication within the entire Astarta team. We connected with each employee through the managers of our regional subsidiaries, departments, and divisions. We used all possible channels of mobile, fixed, and internet communication and cloud-based technologies - these are available to employees from different parts of Ukraine and globally. The experience of establishing remote working during Covid came in handy.

Realizing that the war could last for a considerable time, we developed long-term measures and updated internal protocols, taking into account new challenges, including possible energy blackouts.

At each subsidiary and the head office of the Company, there are so-called "Resilience stations," provided with electricity generators, means of communication, Internet, including Starlink connection, heat, and water supply. Our employees and their families can use such commonly equipped spaces if necessary. Astarta also supports and helps low-income and older adults in local communities and temporarily displaced persons to survive this difficult period with dignity and care.
