“Christmas Miracle during the War” – Sayenko Kharenko, Together with the “Breathe” Charity Fund, Continues the Tradition of the Holiday Charity Initiatives

This year, winter came to Ukraine much earlier. Broken electricity supply due to Russian strikes disrupted pretty much every family. No heating, no water supply, no Internet or even mobile connection – these hardships were added to the lack of other basic needs in the war-affected Ukraine.

In the wake of Christmas, each of us is trying to find a sourse of light and warmth. Children are better capable than adults of finding it within themselves. Kids still believe in a miracle when hope is lost. It’s worse when the light is off because children don’t have the means to buy generators. It is the most  difficult for those who lost their parents to the war. They have to fight cold and darkness together with fighting their grief.

It is equally important to support the elderly in these difficult times, especially those who do not have family support and live in senior boarding houses. Every older person needs warm things to help them survive in their room or shelter.

That is why Sayenko Kharenko law firm and the “Breathe” Charity Fund decided to create a Christmas Miracle for those who need it the most. Sayenko Kharenko will donate and invite everyone to support one of the selected projects.

  • “Light for the Children”. The project aims to provide children with flashlights, power banks, reflectors for clothes, etc. In addition, the Foundation will provide batteries or generators for a constant supply of electricity for those families whose situation is more critical. The project is implemented jointly with the “Children of Heroes” Charity Fund.
  • “Wrap with warmth” The project aims to buy an individual winter set of things for the elderly: a sheepskin vest and slippers, woolen blanket and socks. The project is implemented jointly with the “Let’s Help” Charity Fund.

The charity campaign goes until 14 January 2023, and every week we will report on the intermediate results of the collection.
