Powerful downpour, hot wire and a hundred strong blows. This is only a small subset of tests that LED luminaries by ITW SYSTEMS (Inteltech Ukraine) undergo before going into series production. Usually the product testing process is hidden from prying eyes and is performed exclusively by specialists in accredited laboratories.
This time ITW SYSTEMS opened the curtain and showed everyone how their products are tested.

We can talk a lot about the testing process, but it is better to see once than to hear a hundred times, "said the founder of ITW SYSTEMS Alexander Lopatin.
This time the luminaire of the new ANTARES series was tested at the State Testing Center “Kharkivstandartmetrologiya”. It is one of the largest accredited test laboratories in Ukraine.
After the luminaire works for several hours, the testing begins. Flammability testing, for example, is performed by a hot wire, that is heated to a maximum temperature of 12500 C. And the ingress Protection Rating test is carried out in the rain chamber - a powerful water pressure is directed at the luminaire.
In addition, the luminaire is tested for aging, resistance to extreme temperatures and environmental conditions, durability and boundary testing, electrical safety tests, the strength of the tilting mechanism, luminosity and colorimetric tests, analysis of metal composition, etc. This overview video shows only part of the evaluation process.
