The manufacturer of LED lighting, the American-Ukrainian group of companies ITW SYSTEMS, presented its solution for energy-efficient lighting, integrated into a modern system of control and dispatching of city lighting through existing electric lines, in Chernivtsi. The project launched with a pilot on Nebesna Sotnya Street, where ITW SYSTEMS installed its 45 lights completely free of charge - as a gift to the city in honor of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence and in memory of those who, at the cost of their lives, defended this independence on the Maidan in 2014. During the presentation, all those present could appreciate the advantages of modern solutions from the Ukrainian manufacturer.
“Our innovative solutions will allow the city to significantly improve the quality of lighting, improve road safety and make the city safer for residents in general, while saving money. We already have more than 10 years of experience in implementing large-scale lighting projects, both in Ukraine and abroad, in the municipal and in the private sectors. We hope that our experience, our solutions and products will become part of the development strategy of the city of Chernivtsi. I trustthat this beautiful city, my hometown, all of the benefits it has to offer to its citizens, for their comfort and convenience, can be shown in a bright light. I really hope that Chernivtsi will become the first city in Western Ukraine to upgrade to energy efficient lighting, ”said Alexander Lopatin, founder and managing partner of the ITW SYSTEMS group of companies.
During the presentation, the company's specialists talked about and demonstrated the possibilities of the lighting system from ITW SYSTEMS, shared their experience in implementing energy-efficient technologies and demonstrated the advantages of the installed solution. In particular, the smart lighting system allows you to remotely control groups and individual lamps, adjust the illumination level, identify unauthorized connections, remotely control the lights, etc.
The quality of lighting from ITW SYSTEMS and the opportunities provided by the proposed solution were highly appreciated by residents of Chernivtsi, guests of the city and representatives of local government. During the visit, Alexander Lopatin and the team met with the mayor of Chernivtsi, Roman Klichuk, Deputy Chairman of the Chernivtsi Regional Council, Mikhail Pavlyuk, head of the Chernivtsi municipal enterprise "Gorsvet", Andrey Shaleev, the head of the Department of social-economic development and strategic planning of the Chernivtsi city council, Sergey Bostan.
"From now on, Chernivtsi is one step closer to energy efficiency. We are planning to continue introducing the latest technologies and modernizing the outdoor lighting system in Chernivtsi," said Andrey Shaleev, head of “Gorsvet”.
There are future plans to install in Chernivtsi EV charging stations and video surveillance cameras, which will be connected to the lighting, control and dispatching system. As part of the pilot, these capabilities were demonstrated by installing and integrating several CCTV cameras into the installed lighting system.
