UN Women in Ukraine continues to support the private sector in advancing international standards for workplace safety and fostering working environments free from sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, and sexual abuse.
The training is designed to help organizations strengthen their internal mechanisms for prevention, reporting, response, and survivor support in line with United Nations standards and international best practices. The programme can be tailored to employees across different levels and functions and can be delivered to the organization as a whole.
Key topics include:
- UN standards on the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA): key principles, organizational responsibilities, and essential requirements for maintaining a safe working environment
- Sexual harassment in the workplace: definitions, common forms, risk situations, and the responsibilities of employers and employees
- Policies and response procedures: key elements of internal policies, reporting mechanisms, incident management, and survivor support
- Practical scenarios: discussion of situations that may arise in a corporate environment and appropriate ways to respond
- Support in developing or updating internal policies: upon request, UN Women can provide advisory support to organizations in developing or strengthening internal policies on the prevention of sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, and sexual abuse
Training format: In-person sessions in Kyiv or other regions, subject to agreement.
The training can be delivered in sessions starting from two to four hours, which provides sufficient time to explore the topics in greater depth while remaining convenient for participants.
Based on our experience, an in-person format is particularly effective for practical learning and discussion. In this case, the participating company would be responsible for providing the venue and arranging staff participation.
