During the session, we discussed whether the progress of humankind is an automatic evolutionary process or a consequence of a conscious civilizational choice of groups of people. We considered today's vision of man as a "perfect egoist" who always acts to satisfy his own needs and wants to continue his existence at all costs and how such a worldview can affect the future of civilization.
