Business operation.
On February 24th, Coca-Cola HBC enacted contingency plans that included temporarily stopping production in Ukraine for the safety of people. Adapting to the new conditions, the company resumed some processes based on the current situation.
Since the first days after Brovary region liberation, the company has actively worked to restore production, despite the damages to the enterprise because of hostilities. In early May, production restarted with consideration for all safety and quality requirements.
The company has not reduced any roles nor restructured since the beginning of the war.
Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine remains among the key contributors to the state budget, for 11 months of this year company has already paid 267,46 mln UAH of taxes.
People safety and support.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion safety and employees support have been key priorities for the company. Coca-Cola HBC employees organized 11 Coca-Cola Care Centers mostly in the central and western regions of Ukraine to support colleagues and their families during evacuation.
Coca-Cola has taken care of the well-being of its employees, trying to support them in difficult time:
- employees got urgent access to the funds via the Coca-Cola Employee Emergency Disaster Relief Fund;
- full salary was paid in advance;
- mobilized, displaced and the most affected people got additional financial support;
- colleagues, who temporally moved abroad were supported in the placement if needed;
- well-being programs such as health insurance and life insurance were expanded.
The company has developed a retraining program for internal specialists - RE-SKILL 2 WIN, which helped to save all jobs, support people and restore business processes
Community support.
Coca-Cola has committed to rebuild a new kindergarten in Bohdanivka village, in the Brovary district. The company will invest USD 1,1 million for the project.
Coca-Cola have committed €4.7 million to provide residents of Ukrainian regions most in need with 70,000 food kits and beverages in partnership with the Red Cross.
Since February 24th, we have provided water and equipment to medical institutions, and supported displaced people. More than 2.5 million liters of our products were delivered to locations where there was an acute need of water, for a total cost of more than €800k to date
The Coca-Cola Company, its global bottling partners and The Coca-Cola Foundation have committed to contributions amounting to more than $18.5 million to support employees based in Ukraine and wider humanitarian relief efforts.
