On December 4, the Chamber held a Presentation of the promo-video on Tourism Potential of Ukraine with participation of representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. 

Ms. Yuliia Kovaliv, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, assured that tourism reform and development in Ukraine are one of main factors of economic growth. 

Chamber held the Meeting with MP Taras Kutoviy, Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations and MP Ivan Miroshnichenko, Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations. 

Discussion has been focused on the current issues in agricultural, seeds, grain, land, phytosanitary, and food safety spheres.

Annual General Membership Meeting 03 December, 2015, 05:00 PM | #AGMM

The Chamber held its Annual General Membership Meeting welcoming hundreds of senior level representatives of the business and diplomatic communities, Government officials and other important partners.

On December 3, the Chamber Members met with Ms. Yuliia Marushevska, Head of Odesa Customs Office of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine aimed at discussing the recent changes, plans and next steps in customs sphere in Odesa region.

Opening the event Mr. Andy Hunder, Chamber President thanked to Ms. Marushevska for her readiness to meet with Chamber Members and expressed hope for further improvements at Odesa Customs Office targeted on simplification of customs clearance. 

Every organization is vulnerable to crises. The days of playing ostrich are gone. Looking at crisis management-related plans, what we often find is a failure to address the many communication issues related to crisis response. Effective crisis communication is not difficult, but it requires advance work in order to minimize damage. So, together with Chamber experts we got ready for 2016 and discussed the issue in a friendly and professional atmosphere.

The Chamber in partnership with Marchenko Davenych (Ukraine) and Locke Lord LLP (USA) invited our Members to the Seminar “Anti-Corruption Compliance and Disputes: Practical Insight and Considerations” on anti-corruption compliance from leading experts in this field.

The Chamber invited all interested Members to the Meeting with representatives of the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service, State Fiscal Service, State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service.

On November 26, the Chamber arranged a Roundtable Discussion “Investments in the Railway Sphere” devoted to discussion of expectations on possible volume of investments, respective conditions and criteria as well as interest rates and terms for investments.

Chamber Members experienced a dynamic and thrilling twist on a legendary tale of one radical scientist Victor Frankenstein.

 

Round Table has been organized in strategic partnership of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, International Financial Corporation (IFC) and Independent Association of the Banks of Ukraine (NABU).

On November 23, the Chamber Members met with the World Bank’s Mission on trade facilitation and logistics with the aim to discuss procedural and administrative barriers that hinder the establishment and development of effective export and import trade flows of agricultural products (including cereals) and material resources in the port and river infrastructure of Ukraine.
