On March 16, the Chamber participated in a meeting devoted to the National Essential Medicines List which will enter into force on April 1, 2017. The meeting was held in the State Expert Center (SEC) of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (MoH) and gathered representatives of the MoH, SEC, USAID SIAPS, and pharma market operators.
In particular, Ministry of Health of Ukraine was represented by Taras Liaskivskiy, Head of the MoH Pharmaceutical Department; USAID – by Juanita Folmsbee, Country Project Director of SIAPS (System for Increase Access to Pharmaceuticals and Services) and Oksana Lebega, Senior Technical Advisor on Pharmacovigilance and Rational Use of Medicine.
The meeting was dedicated to discussion of
the Resolution #152 “On Ensuring the Availability of Medicines” adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Resolution #333 “Some Issues on the State Regulation of Medicines’ and Medicinal Products’ Prices”, which introduces the National Essential Medicines List (NEML).
