Policy Win: Private Clinics Officially Participate in Healthcare Reform
On June 28, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine released a list of private healthcare providers who signed agreements with National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU).
Patients who have signed a declaration with their family doctor, therapist, or pediatrician that work for healthcare facilities listed on the official website of NHSU will get primary care for free. This program is funded by the state budget according to the Law of Ukraine "On Governmental Financial Guarantees for the Medical Services' Provision." The list of services included in primary care is stated by Ministry of Health of Ukraine Order #504.
Chamber Members actively support the transformation processes in the healthcare sphere and welcome the inclusion of the private sector to the healthcare reform. We are looking forward to further developments in the sphere, and will actively participate in the development of pilot projects of financing secondary care.
