Meeting of the Working Group on International Trade with Nataliya Mykolska, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine – Trade Representative of Ukraine
On March 24, Chamber Working Group on International Trade held its first meeting with Nataliya Mykolska, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine – Trade Representative of Ukraine, who presented trade priorities of the Ministry. Representatives of the Department for European Integration, Market Access and the WTO Cooperation Department, Trade Defense Department, Export Development Department were also actively engaged in discussion.
As a result, meeting participants agreed on the following:
- Development of the Chamber proposals related to the Export Strategy of Ukraine, following its presentation on March 28, 2017 by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine;
- Cooperation between business and the Ministry to choose new countries for negotiating new free trade agreements to be concluded with Ukraine and trade preferences;
- Cooperation with Export Promotion Office on the matters related to the educational programs for exporters in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility;
- Providing Chamber proposals and/or comments / amendments to the Draft Law on trade defense instruments to be promulgated shortly.
